Privacy policy
Last updated: February 2026
This page is maintained by the Pinly team to answer common privacy questions about the Pinly service. It describes what the app collects, what it does with that data, and the choices available to you.
Data we collect
- Account data. Your email address, display name, optional avatar URL and preferred regional feed.
- Activity data. Boards you create, pins you save to them and comments you post.
- Technical data. Standard request information such as IP address and user agent, used to keep the service available and to prevent abuse.
How we use it
We use account and activity data to operate your boards, personalise which regional feed loads first and respond to support requests. We do not sell personal data.
Cookies and local storage
Pinly stores your session and theme preference in your browser. These are required for sign-in and for remembering light or dark mode.
Processors
Pinly runs on managed cloud infrastructure for hosting, database, authentication and file storage. Those providers process data on our instructions and under contract.
Cross-regional transfers
Pinly aggregates content from multiple regions, but your account data is stored with our infrastructure provider and may be processed outside your country of residence under appropriate safeguards.
Retention and deletion
Account data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your boards and comments at any time, or request deletion of your account and associated profile data by contacting us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@pinly.nexus.
Children
Pinly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders.
